“It does what I wanted it to do. It cuts everything out. It cuts it out cleanly. So that’s how I got into the WAZER Pro.”
Lance has been making swords and other weaponry since 1992, and Joan has been making copper roses and art for nearly as long. Together, they sell at renaissance festivals and sci-fi/fantasy conventions around the country. After years of bringing their business to scale by hand, they decided to upgrade their production process with WAZER Pro.
They now have several tent operations, and multiple physical buildings with an array of products at different fairs.

Joan’s Roses
WAZER Pro helped Joan cut her rose production time in half. It can use a full sheet of copper to quickly cut out the shapes that would be bent into roses, a task that would take much longer if she were to work by hand. Below are the cut copper pieces ready to be shaped into fresh roses.

Waterjet cutting helps to keep the metal more pliable than plasma cutting does, which adds heat. The pliability makes it easier for Joan to shape them into roses.

Joan then solders copper rods onto the base as a stem. Because the WAZER Pro doesn’t cause any heat discoloration, Joan can selectively heat up individual petals with a blow torch for the desired coloring effect. The fresh roses are now ready to go on display and be sold.

The copper roses have been selling fast! Before WAZER Pro Lance and Joan would run out of supply at fairs. This means they have to put out a sign that offers to make them to order for their customers. This delays delivery and they sell less. But with WAZER Pro they haven’t had to use the sign once. Keeping up with demand means happy customers and not missing a potential sale!

Since adding WAZER Pro to their production they’ve sold more than 2,000 copper roses in just a few months! All while putting half the employee hours towards producing them.
Lance’s Blades

While Joan is an expert with copper, Lance is a skilled bladesmith. After years of making blade guards with a plasma cutter, he started to use WAZER Pro for them instead. The results are a much cleaner end product.

With WAZER Pro’s accuracy, Lance has confidence that his design will be accurately executed. By cutting a perfectly sized slot in the guard, he can slide it onto the blade with ease.

WAZER Pro is opening new possibilities for Lance and his craft. Not only is the end product much cleaner but he can use much more complex guard designs.

Lance has also tried out putting cool designs through the blades of his knives using WAZER Pro.(Pictured above) This snake design would have been impossible using traditional methods.

Lance has remarked on the speed and production capabilities of WAZER Pro. “It also means, not desperately needing five more employees”. Keeping his production process efficient means he can charge less and sell more. Bringing his craft to scale helps keep customers happy and his business flourishing.

“You’ve got access to materials you couldn’t use before”
Besides metal guards, Lance has also been experimenting with other materials that can be used with WAZER Pro. Agate has been his latest experiment.

With WAZER Pro’s precision Lance can now cleanly cut out interesting designs to be added into other pieces. Lance plans on perfecting embedding Agate into hardwood handles for his blades.

Lance and Joan are masters of their craft and have fully embraced WAZER Pro. It’s expanded their production speed and improved product quality. All while opening up new potential for them to push their craft to the next level.
