Can WAZER engrave?
WAZER waterjets cannot engrave or etch your parts. They are designed for through-cutting only. Attempting to etch with WAZER puts a lot of wear and stress on the internal components (because the abrasive will bounce off the surface of the material and could penetrate the gantry system) and will void your warranty.
What is the kerf and draft when cutting with WAZER?
The kerf of both WAZER Pro and WAZER Desktop is approximately 0.044” (1.1mm) thick. This will be relatively consistent across most materials. The WAM software will compensate for this cut width so you do not have to worry about calculating any offsets. You should just make sure you don’t design or expect to have any […]
